That’s what we hope you’ll say about us. Because for us, that’s what it’s all about. Pure and simple.
We want to bring you the great flavours and textures of authentic Punjabi cooking in a relaxed and bang-up-to-date atmosphere. Somewhere you can chill straight from work or make a night of with friends.
Fantastic home cooking shaped us. Our mums’ biryanis were bursting with layers, each a flavour surprise – chicken, potatoes, eggs… lamb if we were lucky. Food at home used a few, very fresh ingredients, cooked quite simply and deliciously. And we’ve brought this home-style cooking to India The Restaurant.
We believe that a relaxed, happy atmosphere is the best backdrop to a night out, and is essential to work in. That’s why we don’t pay lip service to customer service and team working. We do things a bit differently to make sure you’ll have a good time and come back to us, and our team will love showing you what we’re made of.
For instance, our chefs (handpicked and fully trained of course) cook each meal freshly to order…and then serve it to you. This way, you can meet them and they can see what you think. Like it?
Love food; love Malton.
We’ve years of experience running Indian restaurants in Leeds, Skipton, Ilkley, Windsor and Bradford – the first city ever to win The Curry Capital of Britain three years in a row (2011, 2012 and 2013).
So, being big fans of the Malton Food Lovers Festival, we were sure Malton was the perfect next spot for our authentic style. Antonio Carluccio was right when he said, ‘Malton in Yorkshire is the county’s culinary capital’.
When it’s festival time, look beyond our restaurant. You’ll find us adding spice to the rich list of participants that make up that fabulous celebration of taste. So come along and have some fun with us.
